A Note from Angela
Hi! I am Angela Anderson and I create free acrylic painting videos on YouTube. I am all about empowering people to create art they can be proud of no matter what their age or experience level. I try to make the process of learning to paint fun and enjoyable. Painting is a skill that can be developed through practice and guidance and I am honored to be able to help you with your art journey!
Fine art painter and YouTube creator Angela Anderson lives with her husband Mark in the beautiful foothills of the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas, USA.
Her beautiful, nature-inspired, original acrylic paintings are collected by businesses and patrons worldwide. She was selected for inclusion in the 2009 Arkansas Artist Calendar published by the Governor's Mansion Association, and one of her paintings hangs in the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute in Little Rock, AR.
In 2011, Angela's love for teaching led her to begin sharing her painting experience with a global audience through video tutorials on YouTube. Her channel was a pioneer in the popular, online teaching market and fast became the focus of her career. Angela's easy-going, relaxed style of teaching makes learning to paint accessible and fun for artists of all ages and experience levels. Her husband Mark helps with her weekly livestream classes and together they chat with their friends and followers during her interactive lessons. She has over 500 free lessons on her channel to date and offers more advanced lessons through exclusive Patreon tiers.
When Angela is not having fun creating art, she enjoys music, gardening, reading and spending time with her family, friends & animals.
I knew early in life that I wanted to be an artist. Some of my first and fondest memories involve crayons and paint. The subjects of my artwork have changed over the years, but I still get a thrill from the magic of creating something beautiful out of a blank page or canvas. I find myself drawn to bright colors and interesting lines, shapes and patterns in everyday life. I like a strong focal point, often with one subject dominating the space. My inspiration comes from nature, but I also enjoy the juxtaposition of adding a touch of something man-made (like book pages or a wallpaper pattern in the background). I work with acrylics, adding many layers of paint to get a luminous effect. I want my paintings to be more than just pretty artwork. I want them to make the viewer feel something peaceful in a crazy world. Joy of discovery. Warmth and wonder. The love of our creator. I hope these things come across in my artwork. It is an honor and a blessing to share my heart through my paintings.
